On-Line Training
As well as our in-class training, KI has re-formatted its ICS training to meet the challenges of losing the “in-person” experience, keeping class sizes a little smaller (18) with two instructors so that the learning experience is almost as good as a classroom experience using Microsoft Teams.

Incident Command System Training
The Incident Command System (ICS) is a standardized on-site management system designed to enable effective, efficient incident management by integrating a combination of facilities, equipment, personnel, procedures, and communications operating within a common organizational structure.
We teach the ICS Canada suite of courses. ICS Canada is the network of organizations working cooperatively to maintain a standard Incident Command System that enhances incident management response through improved interoperability.

Our courses are designed to assist individuals and organizations develop a culture of resilience.
Exercise Support
We specialize in the use of ICS as an organizational structure for incident management as well as guiding the process for planning, building and adapting that structure. Using ICS as the foundation of your exercise program as well as for every incident or planned event, helps sharpen and maintain skills needed for the larger incidents. KI's consultants have significant experience as professional trainers with expertise in planning, developing and delivering exercises that will test and hone your operational readiness and emergency plan.
Consulting and Planning

Emergency Management Accreditation Program (EMAP)
EMAP, the voluntary standards, assessment, and accreditation process for disaster preparedness programs throughout the country, fosters excellence and accountability in emergency management, by establishing credible standards applied in a peer review accreditation process. EMAP was created to foster continuous improvement in emergency management capabilities. It provides emergency management programs the opportunity to be recognized for compliance with industry standards, to demonstrate accountability, and to focus attention on areas and issues where resources are needed.
